Project Description
AllRock was retained by RJ Burnside & Associates Limited to complete a comprehensive geotechnical investigation in Guelph/Eramosa, ON in support
of the detailed design of the Indian Trail Road Reconstruction. The road extends approximately 3.4km from Wellington County Road 29 to Guelph Line (Wellington Road 44).
AllRock Role
AllRock first coordinated all underground utility clearances and provided a
traffic control plan. AllRock then subcontracted a local drilling contractor, and
supervised borehole drilling operations in the field. Once field work was
successfully completed, AllRock’s role switched to laboratory soil testing and
geotechnical analysis. A comprehensive geotechnical report was provided,
which included:
•Borehole logs
•Soil classification in accordance with the “Unified Soil Classification System”
•Pavement structure recommendations and reuse of current granular structure
•Excavation requirements and groundwater condition analysis
For this project, AllRock also coordinated environmental laboratory testing for
disposal of surplus soil in accordance with MECP O.Reg. 406/19 guidelines.
